Founding Member/Guitarist John Goodsall: “Every tour we add some new songs and change some things around for a fresh new show. Some of these songs we haven’t played in ages – and some never before at all – and now we’re starting to work on writing some new material as well for a forthcoming album.”

“The band are playing exceptionally well live, so we’ve recorded a new live DVD and a new live album to document it.” says Manager Norman Bedford.“They’re breathing new life into some timeless music in a way I’ve rarely seen – every night on stage they do something differently, and it’s all very exciting to watch.”

BRAND X! With founders John Goodsall (Gtr) & Percy Jones (Bass) still at the helm, they’ve reached some new peaks with Keyboardist Chris Clark, Percussionist Scott Weinberger, and Drummer Kenny Grohowski each bringing their own unique artistry to make Brand X such a unique live act.

The original seeds were sown many years ago in London as players in a studio band for many of Brian Eno’sinfamous solo albums.  Drummer Phil Collins and Bassist Percy Jones got to know each other through those sessions.  Later Jones and JohnGoodsall officially formed Brand X. Bill Bruford even played a few shows in Brand X — but was complicated by commitments with King Crimson and his own band Bruford, so it wasn’t long before Collins was locked in behind the Brand X kit.

Brand X would sign with Genesis’s management company and they were off and running.  They played several festival dates along with Genesis, like the infamous Knebworth Fest in England.  With their first three albums “Unorthodox Behaviour”, “Moroccan Roll” and “Livestock”, many critics hailed Brand X as a new path for the future.  In a 1978 poll in England’s NME, Brand X were ranked first, above The Sex Pistols, as new band of the year. In a sense they truly were at the forefront of the Jam-Band/Fusion sound.  Today the band carries with it more Funk and Rock, but the improvised Jazz sections are still pure heaven.

Phil Collins balanced playing simultaneously in Genesis and Brand X for the early years – an act he handled well – and some claim some of Collins best work appears on those Brand X albums. Collins once explained his love for the energy and freedom created by Brand X thusly: “Genesis was like my wife, but Brand X was like this hot mistress — with big bazongas!”

Since being formed by brothers Andrew & Jamie Pipe in late 2008, award winning British rock band The Mentulls have carved out a niche for themselves on the international rock scene.

Hailing from the north east of England, an area well known for producing legendary artists like Paul Rodgers, David Coverdale, Chris Rea, The Animals and Sting, who have all made major impacts on the world of rock music, The Mentulls carry on that great tradition of original classic rock music in a new eclectic way

With music critics calling them “a band to watch now and for years to come”“so talented, so good” and “the future of prog rock” the band have earned a reputation for blending original, emotive, bluesy classic rock with progressive rock instrumentality played with gusto and energy.

"Prog Rock Legends"

BBC RADIO

As well as recording three albums to date, with their latest opus “Reflections” having received rave reviews and acclaim, the band as well as headlining their own shows have toured internationally and opened for a plethora of big name artists including Wishbone Ash, Focus, Walter Trout, Dr Feelgoodamong many others. In addition, the band have made many large festival apperances where they have shared the stage with the likes of The Stranglers, Feeder, FM and Cats In Space.

Also, the band and it’s members have won and been nominated for numerous awards including Young Artist of The Year in ‘The British Blues Awards’ two years running in 2012 & 2013. Away from the band, it's members have worked with Grammy award winners to rock legends.

"Tipped To Become Icons"

Now, in 2019 after a short break away from the live arena Andrew, Jamie and longtime drummer Nick Colman are joined on vocals by David Neil Crabtree, who brings a new soulful dimension to the band.

StillMarillion are Europe's biggest and best tribute to Marillion and are delighted to make their debut at Backstage at The Green in Kinross. Formed in 2008 and now our 11th anniversary year. StillMarillion pay homage to the early era of progressive rock legends Marillion.  Mainly focussing on the first four albums and rarities but also occasionally covering tracks from Seasons End and the early Hogarth material.  StillMarillion are fronted by Martin Jakubski, who sings the songs with passion and power.

In 2014 Martin received a great endorsement of his vocal capabilities from original Marillion guitarist Steve Rothery who asked Martin to sing in his very own solo band, performing such classics as Fugazi, Incubus, Cinderella Search and Lavender onstage every night with Mr Rothery himself.  Martin can now be seen regularly over Europe singing in The Steve Rothery Band.

StillMarillion focus purely on the music and performance rather than gimmicks, a StillMarillion show is a full on live performance in it’s own right.   Concentrating on the first four Marillion albums and other rarities from the Fish era. StillMarillion are well know for their album themed nights when they have performed classic albums such as Fugazi and Clutching at Straws and Seasons End in their entirety. StillMarillion  are completed by an experienced line up of musicians who have performed in other notable acts such as Moving Picture, Abel Ganz, Maiden Scotland and Paul Di'anno.    StillMarillion regularly tour across the UK and into Germany and The Netherlands bringing their unique live performance, not only to diehard fans but to many casual observers who enjoy a good live music show.

WISHBONE GOLD – Spring Tour 2020
Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the formation of the original Wishbone Ash Featuring full performance of Wishbone Ash’s classic 197album “Pilgrimage”

Martin Turner and his band return to the concert stages in Spring 2020 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the formation of the original Wishbone Ash and perform another classic album in its entirety – 1971’s Pilgrimage.

Wishbone Ash was formed by West Country musicians Martin Turner and Steve Upton, who arrived in London in 1969 to embark on their musical journey. Intent on creating a musical sound that was rich in texture and melody, Martin Turner envisaged the band’s innovative harmony-guitar hallmark and guitarists Ted Turner and Andy Powell were recruited via a now legendary Melody Maker advert. The partnership of the original line-up of Wishbone Ash forged a unique musical identity that would produce some of rock music's best loved works and influencing numerous successful bands, resulting in millions of album sales and concert attendances. Wishbone Ash would become one of the most enduring British rock acts - its name synonymous with high quality guitar-driven melodic rock music.

John Verity, the man and musician who is ‘Blue to his soul’ and for years one of the most consistent performers on the blues rock circuit will be celebrating in 2020/21 The 50th Anniversary of the very first incarnation of his band. Opening for Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin and others in the USA in 1970 and then later with Argent, he spent time in the studio recording and guesting with amongst many others; Saxon The Zombies, Colin Blunstone and Ringo Starr.  John is currently experiencing a musical renaissance through live appearances throughout the country with his current band and receiving rave reviews wherever they go:-

‘However, what was to follow dwarfed all comers at the festival:-The John Verity Band! A CV that, frankly, almost makes one sceptical. I mean to say, appearances with Jimi Hendrix, Ringo Starr, Mountain and head honcho of bona fide global rock stars Argent! And yet, it seems more than likely that John Verity has grown into his talent and has developed greater access to himself. How could anyone fail to be thrilled on the simple basis of what they saw unfold before them on the night? Of course, the hits were in attendance and you can’t fail with proven chart successes but nobody could dispute the sheer artistry, passion and almost naïve love for the music that he and his band were serving up. The last Hendrixesque valediction reluctantly signalled that, all too soon it was over.’  Blues Matters Review from Radford Mill Festival of R & B 2019

‘A hugely talented blues guitarist, a genuine rock legend, an engaging stage personality with a nice line in self-deprecation and a really, really tight and together band, it is well worth catching John Verity on one of his frequent tours.’  Eastbourne Theatre 2019.

“She is the future” (Carlos Santana)

Since first entering a recording studio some 15 years ago, singer/guitarist Erja Lyytinen has become a bona fide star in her homeland and a fixture on the international music scene. In that time, "the Finnish slide goddess" (The Blues Magazine) has recorded in places as diverse as Helsinki, London and Memphis, earning numerous accolades along the way. Rooted in both traditional and modern blues, she successfully blends styles like jazz, pop, soul and rock into a sound all her own. Celebrated slide guitar master Sonny Landreth, upon discovering Lyytinen's music recently, remarked: "I sure enjoyed her guitar skills. She’s obviously made a big name for herself. Things are going well for her and for good reason."

“When white woman from Finland rank among the planet´s premier slide guitar merchants, you know that God has finally brought diversity to the blues.” (Bluesmatters Aug-Sept 2017, David Osler)

“...this lady could be the greatest Finnish export since the Nokia 3310, or even perhaps the mighty Hanoi Rocks.” (Bluesmatters Aug-Sept 2017, David Osler)

„Over the last twelve months Erja Lyytinen has starred on MTV Finland’s Tahdet Tahdet show, picked up the much coveted European Guitarist of the Year award, performed in front of 80,000 people in her hometown of Helsinki on New Year’s Eve, shared the stage with the legendary Carlos Santana as well as clocking up in excess of 100 headline shows across Europe. An impressive twelve months to say the least.“ (Adam Kennedy, National Rock Review)

Prepare yourself for a different kind of sound! Not better – just different! I have also written several new melodic pieces recently for my 9-string Flamenco Sky Guitar as well as new electric ones, some of which I will perform on the tour, and I will improvise some keyboards for you as well.
This summer I also wrote a completely new 12 minute big Orchestra Arrangement of Sails of Charon in full score, which we will include in the program. This one is extremely exciting to play and I can’t wait to share it with you guys!Today I’m very happy to announce my first ever one-man-solo world tour for 2020!

Having devoted the last few years’ tours to mainly my rock related music with my band, this next tour is a completely new departure for me and will be quite different in many aspects. The INTERSTELLAR SKY GUITAR TOUR is going to be unlike any other tour I’ve ever done regarding the choice of music and the format.

It is true that for years I have largely neglected my more classical repertoire and the Sky of Avalon/ Transcendental Sky Guitar music on stage. But quite a few among my audience have asked me repeatedly to play this kind of music again. Well here it is. This tour will be completely dedicated to my “other musical half” – the world of melodic and dramatic orchestral pieces, my personal favourite world of music. This framework will give me the opportunity to do many new things which I couldn’t possibly do in a band context and I’m really looking forward to this artistic challenge!

I’d like to invite all of you who have an ear for this kind of music to come and join me in these shows as my audience so we can go on a journey together. Don’t worry, I won’t be totally alone on stage with just my guitars and the piano, but we will have three screens, which will help to tell the story in terms of visuals, most of which I have produced myself especially for this tour.

All venues will be mainly seated so that you can just sit back, relax and immerse yourself in the music. These are not rock-shows, but it is going to be¬ more of an intense listening experience and a bit of a mind trip so-to-speak.
The concert will consist of two halves and there will be a brief intermission between the two.

I have prepared an eclectic mix of music for this and it contains some of my all-time classical favourites in the first half. Pieces by Mozart, Bach, Puccini - which I am interpreting a la “Transcendental Sky Guitar” - and Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, a piece which I love to play, because it is most exciting and a challenge, followed by my Metamorphosis Concerto. The second half will be dedicated to mainly my own pieces and it will include a couple of Electric Sun and Scorpions tracks with orchestra backings.
