We are finding that Americana acts do not sell anymore. This is a great shame as in the past they were well attended and we had some interesting Artists. Some months ago we sent out a survey and we read the results with great intrigue. Several comments were made that stated we should have ‘new’ music at Backstage. We have promoted numerous Artists and Bands that fall into the category of ‘new’ music but sadly we just don’t see the attendance often resulting in a gig being cancelled. We still will feature some ‘new’ music but we will cut back considerably as it has proved not to be popular.
