“My name’s Annie Booth, I’m a 19 year-old singer-songwriter based in Edinburgh. I’ve played for a few years now around the Perth and Stirling areas and this is my second year studying in Edinburgh; I’ve performed at venues such as the Electric Circus, the Voodoo Rooms and Bannerman’s. My music has an indie-folky sound inspired by a variety of acts such as Villagers, Bombay Bicycle Club, Muse and SaraBareilles. Last year I supported Siobhan Wilson at theTolbooth in Stirling and played its Strange Behaviours festival alongside Hector Bizerk, Finn LeMarinel and many more; I also supported Zoë Bestel and others at the Mash House.Ravechild have said: ‘Annie Booth’s music much like Laura Marling’s is very lyric-driven, with instrumental lines carefully countering her vocals; always complimenting, never suffocating…one to watch in the Scottish folk scene’. I released my EP ‘Steady Heart’ last November, 5 songs which I wrote and arranged to be played with a band.”
