A keyboard whirlwind, Doña’s outstanding piano skills prompted none other than Keith Richards to shout “You’re a bitch, baby” as they jammed together on stage. She’s also toured with the great Albert Lee, recorded with the likes of Van Morrison and Roger Daltrey and Cream’s Ginger Baker threatened to kill her. But that’s another story.

Doña is all about high energy and spontaneity, and making her audience feel part of the show. Her exuberant, rocking stage presence and powerful soul voice has led to the apt comparison “Gladys Knight meets the Rolling Stones”.

Night after night, Doña blows the room away. For a taster, check out Doña on YouTube. Her “Boogie-Woogie” video has already had ONE MILLION views !

A born-and-bred New Yorker, Doña tightened her talent in clubs across America’s East Coast before finding further success in Chicago. She finally settled in Los Angeles where she honed her live performances, session work and songwriting.

Doña has released 5 albums to date and has contributed to albums by critically acclaimed artists such as Popa Chubby and Shemekia Copeland. Her soundtrack work includes music for the films “Norbit”, starring Eddie Murphy, “Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins” and “Senior Skip Day”.

She is also a regular guest of Spinal Tap legend and star of The Simpsons, Harry Shearer, for his celebrity special “Christmas Without Tears” tour of New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and New Orleans.

Doña’s recent 25 date spring tour of the UK and Europe with her new British band was a great success, winning legions of new fans – all of them asking “Please come back as soon as you can !”.
